A small business is absolutely not just a big business with less zeros.
Small businesses mean more moving parts for the owner. Every division in a big business defines a task that must be done in a small business. Operations. Finance. And yes, Marketing.
During my small business years, I learned to get the jobs done. All the jobs. It was harder than I thought but I learned how to tame the workload with organization and outside help as necessary. I learned to get out from under the drudgery and focus on the passion that brought me to my own business in the first place.
Big business also trained me in setting objectives, working to a statistically relevant budget, targeting actionable data and respecting creative ideas no matter where they came from. I learned to actualize ideas with specifically designed forms and follow-up procedures to smooth the work flow.
It would be an honor to help you on the marketing and advertising part of your work. My experience is in both the creative – award winning creative - and the business side of marketing. My degree is in English with an MBA in marketing from Pepperdine University. My focus for you is on results and a mandate to “spend money where it counts.”
