Does Marketing Have To Be A Source Of Stress?

Let’s run through a few quick scenarios that will show you what I’m talking about.

At the end of the day, bet you don’t think about marketing while the business is growing. The problem is when you have a slow day, week or month, you start to second guess yourself.

Maybe you have to try and reinvent the wheel from the ground up and completely revolutionize a world of effective marketing practices to get your business going again? Maybe the task is just so big that you then get decision fatigue, have no idea where to start and you freeze. And when that happens, Stop. Take a breath and come back to what matters most here: focusing on the basics.

Every business has a workload that fluctuates across time; from the largest corporations to the one-man bands that drive the grassroots economy: they all change. Keeping perspective and remaining calm is the way to do it, whereas letting the stress consume you is not.

This may sound easier said than done, which is why I want to share three simple tips with you. First, leave the reinvention of the wheel to someone else. Keep things simple, connect with an expert for clarification, and focus on executing the basics even better.

Secondly, learn from every mistake you make — there are going to be plenty — so make sure you keep using them to redefine and fine-tune your approach.

And last but not least, use the slow time to plan ahead. We both know that you want a constant stream of orders, but sitting there stressing about when things will turnaround isn’t the way to achieve that. Focus on learning new skills with a marketing expert by your side and you’ll soon have even more tools at your disposal.

You see, when you think of it like this, marketing really doesn’t have to be the stress monster you’ve built it up to be. The first step is to reach out and have a conversation. Even if it is a a no-charge get to know you. That will help too. Get in touch. Marketing101Essentials@gmail.com
