Moving Prospects to Customers: The How To
Here’s the fact: Transforming a prospect to a client means multiple exposures to your message. Is that news? Or not? The answer is: repetition matters.
And what is the magic number? Some say seven, some say 22 and others say, “just keep at it.” That is my camp. Just keep at it.
And how do you do this efficiently? How do you do this so you have time for the rest of your business and life?
Here are thoughts:
1. You will want a welcome email that can be readily personalized and goes out quickly to everyone who signs up. You write it once and just make sure it goes out!
2. Consider a SERIES of welcome emails – not just one. And not too often. Plan them out in advance. Three emails in the first month is a good way to start – be sure to put them on some sort of autopilot. Efficiency, right?
3. Grow your email list! Email is the proven, most effective way of reaching clients and potential clients. The most difficult part is getting a solid list, so work at growing your email list relentlessly.
4. Cross reference your social media. Invite your Instagram followers to your email list and maybe Linked In. Put Instagram reminders in Pinterest. You get the idea. Gently engage these followers in all your social media.
5. While we are at it - do NOT feel pressured to use every social media – think of where your most likely clients will be and what your product calls for. Check results. Plan it out. Think efficiency.
6. Consider how often you should post. PLANNING helps here too – then your posting will become automatic. Can you afford help with the administrative part? It would save you time and be a good investment. Write ahead or hire a writer to do a month of posts in advance. Or 3 months on repeat will give you a year! You can get excellent posts for literally pennies. Is this going to be time consuming? In the beginning, yes. And will it pay off for your business? Yes.
Use part of this or use each tip – whatever you do – do something, do it often, and do it with intentionality.
